Istanbulist sõitsime Bursasse praamiga. Liini nimeks on Budo ja see väljub Istanbulist Kabatas'i terminalist. Praam sõidab Mudanya sadamasse ning sealt edasi saab bussiga Bursasse.
From Istanbul we took a ferry to get to Bursa. The ferry line is called Budo and it departs from Kabatas ferry terminal. It takes arrives at Mudanya port and from there you can take a bus to get to Bursa.

Bursa is a big city that has suffered a lot in earth quakes. As a result there are not many old buildings left. Typically tourists go there just for one day to see Unesco sites. The fact that we spent there 2 days was surprising to locals.

Miks Bursasse mitte minna? Linn ise ei kuulu kindlasti Türgi ilusamate linnade hulka. Peale üksikute säilinud vanade ehitiste seal eriti midagi muud vaadata ei ole.
Why go to Bursa? Very few tourists, stunningly beautiful mosques (older than in Istanbul), cheaper prices than in Istanbul, Turkish baths with natural hot spring water, Uludag National Park.
Why not to go to Bursa? The city itself is definitely not the prettiest city in Turkey. Apart from few remaining old sites there's not much to see.

Uludag National Park photos I have already shown you couple of posts ago. Uludag is one of the highest mountains in Turkey and in winter time there are sky resorts up there. From Bursa you can get there using the world's longest cable car line. Up in the mountains there are hiking routes but finding information about them is incredibly difficult and there are no maps available. There are some signs marking the routes but they are not easy to find. We managed to find one hiking route and walked it through. In mid November it's the time of changing leaves over there. I must say the views of yellow and red mountains were incredible. The prettiest views you can see from the cable car.
