De Hoge Veluwe

Laupäeva veetsin De Hoge Veluwe rahvuspargis. Kavatsen sinna kindlasti veel minna. Pargil on 3 sissepääsu. Ühistranspordiga oli Amersfoortist kõige kiirem variant sõita kõigepealt Apeldoorni ja sealt kohaliku bussiga 108 edasi Hoenderloosse. Buss peatub umbes 100 m kaugusel pargi sissepääsust.

I spent my Saturday in De Hoge Veluwe national park. I definitely plan to return there once the nature turns into green. The park has 3 entrances. The quickest way for me to get there was first going to Apeldoorn and taking a local bus 108 from there to Hoenderloo. Bus stops about 100 m away from the entrance. 

Väga tore selles pargis on, et külastajad võivad kasutada valgeid jalgrattaid, millega mööda jalgrattateid ringi sõita. Minu meelest on see lihtsalt suurepärane idee!

Absolutely awesome thing in this park is that guests can use white bikes to move around in the park. I think this is fantastic idea!

Pargi keskel on Müller-Krölleri kunstimuuseum, mille ümber on skulptuuride aed. All mõned kaadrid skulptuuride aiast.

In the middle of the park there's Müller-Kröller art museum that is surrounded by sculpture garden. Here you can see some sculptures that are located there.

Maastik pargis on väga vaheldusrikas. Seal on nõmmesid, metsa ja kultuurmaastikku.

Landscape is very diverse. There are grasslands, forests and culture landscape. 

Üheks pärliks on kindlasti ka jahiloss. Ilusa päiksepaistelise ilmaga on sealses välikohvikus väga mõnus istuda.

One of the pearls of the park is definitely the hunting castle. It's really nice to sit there in outdoor cafe with sunny weather.

My first finished knitting project in Netherlands:

Kasutasin Mags Mitts mustriskeemi, kuid tegin need sõrmikuteks. Lõngaks on Aade lõng. Seetõttu on ka sõrmikud erivärvi - värvide üleminekud on lihtsalt nii pikad. Vardad olid 2.25 mm. Täna selgus, et need on ideaalsed rattasõidukindad, kuna tuult nad läbi ei lase.

I used Mags Mitts colorwork scheme but turned them into gloves. I used Aade Artistic yarn which has very long color changes. This is the reason why the gloves are in different colors. I used 2.25 mm needles. I turned out today that those gloves are perfect for biking - no wind can get through them. 

Uue elustiiliga kohanemine

Hollandis sõidavad kõik jalgrattaga. Täna oli ka minul täielik hollandi kultuuri päev. Selgus, et kontoris on igal reedel friikartulite päev, mis on hollandis väga populaarne toit. Lisaks tegin tutvust kroketiga - taas väga tüüpiline hollandi toit. Pärast tööpäeva sain endale jalgratta! 13 km sõitu koju kulges mööda jalgrattateid, muuhulgas ka läbi looduskaitseala.

Today has been all about adapting to Dutch lifestyle and culture. It turned out that on Fridays it's eating fries day in the office. Eating fries is very common in Netherlands. In addition I got introduced to another typical Dutch food - kroket. Everyone in Netherlands bikes. So do I! I got a bike after work today. And i had my first 13 km ride home on bike route that took me through the nature reserve. 

Madalmaad - siin ma nüüd olen

Veidi rohkem kui nädal tagasi (reede 13, kui täpne olla) juhtus nii, et kolisin elama Hollandisse. Otsustasin, et on aeg proovida elamist mõnes teises riigis ning ootamatult avanes võimalus kolida töö pärast siia. Linn, kus ma nüüd paiknen, on Amersfoort. See on armas keskaegne linnake väga heade rongiühenduste, ilusa vanalinna ning toredate kanalitega. Lisaks on siin sündinud Piet Mondriaan. Kevad on täies hoos koos õitsevate krookuste, lumikellukeste ning varajaste nartsissidega. Allpool on mõned fotod minu uuest kodulinnast.

A little bit more than a week ago (on Friday 13th to be precise) happened so that I moved to Netherlands. I decided to try living in another country and pretty much after I had decided that I got a chance to work and live in Netherlands. The city where I'm living is called Amersfoort. It's a lovely medieval city with very good train connections, beautiful old town and pretty canals. Piet Mondriaan has been born here. Spring has already started here with blooming crocuses, snowdrops and early daffodils. Below you can see some photos of my new home town.

Islandi stiilis kampsun

Seda kampsunit hakkasin kuduma juba eelmise aasta lõpus. Kasutasin ära samas jämeduses jääke. Kampsunis saavad kokku Raasiku lambapruun, Bergere de France Lima (lõheroosa), Online Linie 157 Tessa (valge), Schachenmayr Juvel (beež). Kokku kulus 480 grammi lõnga ja vardad olid 4 mm. Idee pärineb siit, kuid kohandasin seda vastavaks oma kudumistihedusega: Sophia Loren.

I started this sweater already in the end of last year. My goal was to use same-weight leftovers. So here meet Aade Lõng natural brown, Bergere de France Lima (salmon), Online Linie 157 Tessa (white), Schachenmayr Juvel (beige). It took 480 grams of yarn in total. I used 4 mm needles. Idea is from here: Sophia Loren. I adjusted it because my gauge was different.

Esther sokid

Aasta lõpus lõin varrastele sellised sokid. Mustriks on Esther. Muster on kudumiseks ülevalt alla, mina tegin vastupidi ja alustasin varbast. Vardad 2.25 mm ja lõngaks on Knitting Fever Painted Desert (78 g). Enda jalgade pildistamine on endiselt keeruline.

I cast those socks on in the end of last year. Pattern is called Esther. Pattern is top down, I did the opposite and started from the toe. Needles 2.25 mm, yarn is Knitting Fever Painted Desert (78 g). Photographing my own feet is still difficult.
