Mõnikord on nii mõnus nokitseda, mõnikord on lõõgastav mängida klaverit ja mõnikord on lausa rõõm veeta hommikuid ja õhtuid lugedes.

Minimalistlik titetekk
Vahepeal sain teist korda tädiks. Uue ilmakodaniku ema soovis vankritekki. Otsustasin teha väga ebatraditsioonilise teki.
Meanwhile I became aunt the second time. Newborn's mother wished for baby blanket. I decided to make very untraditional one.
Muster: Moderne Log Cabin Blanket (Kudusin täpselt poole väiksema silmade arvuga)
Vardad: 3,5 mm
Lõng: Madame Tricote Camilla, 320 g
Pattern: Moderne Log Cabin Blanket (I knitted exactly with half the stitch amount)
Needles: 3.5 mm
Yarn: Madame Tricote Camilla, 320 g

Suvevärvid
Eksperimenteerisin mitme taimega. Kõik on külmvärvimise tulemus. Kõigepealt hoidsin õisi/lehti veepurkides päiksepaistelises kohas mitu päeva ning siis panin purkidesse maarjajääga peitsitud meriinolõnga. Lõnga hoidsin purkides samuti mitu päeva.
I experimented with several plants. I used solar dyeing. First I kept blossoms/leaves in water jars for several days in a sunny place outdoors. Then I put premordanted merino yarn to the jars and kept the yarn there for several days. I used alum as mordant.
Allpool fotod nende taimdedega, millega sain lõnga koos pildistada. Mõnda taime enam pildistamise hetkes polnud.
First some photos with the plants. I didn't manage to make such photos with all the colors because I didn't have some plants anymore when dyeing was finished.
Saialill / Calendula:
Tumeroosad roosiõied / Dark pink rose blossoms:
Karikakar / Oxeye daisy:
Punane liilia / Red lily:
Alõtša lehed / Cherry plum leaves:
Ja nüüd kõige suurem üllatus. Elulõng! Selline nägi välja leotusvesi:
And now the biggest surprise. Clematis! This is how the dyeing water looked like:
Ja siin on tulemus! Sinine! Igaks juhuks loputasin lõnga äädikaga segatud vees. Äädikas pidavat värvi kinnitama.
And here's the result. Blue! Just in case I rinsed the yarn in the water where I had added a little vinegar. Vinegar is said to set the color.
Ja nüüd kogu värvipalett:
The whole color palette:
Vasakult paremale. Elulõng (Victoria), lillad roosiõied (sort Rhapsody in Blue), saialill, muraka tupplehed, karikakar, tumeroosad roosiõied, liilia, alõtša.
From left to right. Clematis (Victoria), lilac rose blossoms (Rhapsody in Blue), calendula, cloudberry sepals, oxeye daisy, dark pink rose blossoms, lily, plum cherry.

Suvine top
Vahetult enne reisi sain valmis sellise suvise topi:
Just before my trip I finished this summer top:
Muster: Drops 128-3 (kuna kasutasin peenemat lõnga kui mustris ette nähtud, kudusin XL juhendi järgi). Heegeldasin kinnissilmustega üle õlapaelte ääred ning lisasid heegelpitsi ülaserva.
Lõng: Austermann Pharao (185 g)
Vardad: 3 mm ja 2,5 mm
Pattern: Drops 128-3 (I used much thinner yarn than the pattern says so I followed the instructions for size XL). I single crocheted shoulder traps edges and added crochet lace to neckline and back.
Yarn: Austermann Pharao (185 g)
Needles: 3 mm and 2.5 mm
Värvimine jätkub / Dyeing continues:

Šotimaa võlu 2
Ühel päikesepaistelisel päeval otsustasime minna linna ümber asuvatesse mägedesse. Seal on ilusad matkarajad, mis tunduvad kohalike seas väga populaarsed jalutuskohad olevat. Meie valisime vähe järsema ja otsesema tee üles, mida muul ajal kasutavad vist lambad (otsustades lambapabulate hulga järgi). Ülevalt avanev vaade oli imeline. Kuna rohi oli hommikusest vihmast väga märg, tuli laskudes võtta paljajalu, et mitte libiseda. Oli päris naljakas kõndida lirtsuvas rohus keset lambapabulaid. All mõned pildid.
On one sunny day we decided to go to the mountains surrounding Edinburgh. There are very nice hiking trails but of course we had to take much craggier trail that is usually used by sheep(deciding by the amount of sheep droppings). The view from above was fantastic. The grass was very wet because it had rained in the morning. Therefore it was quite slippery to descend and we decided to walk barefoot. It was very funny because there were sheep droppings everywhere. Below are some photos.

I arrived from Scotland yesterday. Main destination was Edinburgh but I also visited some other places. On first day of the trip the weather was nice and we decided to go to little town at the ocean called Dunbar. From there we started to walk on hiking track named by John Muir. The destination of our hike was North Berrwick. Everything didn't go exactly as planned. One sign on the track showed the wrong direction and we were forced to go round because of that. In the middle of the track there is a village called East Linton. The oldest watermill in Scotland is located there and that we visited. The owner of the mill was really great and with very good sense of humor. Later he even showed us how to stop watermill. We were the first Estonians to visit this mill. After visit it was already 5 o'clock and we were quite tired. We decided not to continue the hike and took the bus to Edinburgh.
Below are some moments from the hike.

Matkarada/ Hiking:
Rada möödus ka golfiväljakust / Track also passed the golf course
